ঈদ উপলক্ষে জ্যামিতিক ভাবে স্বর্ণের দাম কমে গেছে। বিশেষত পাকিস্তান, ভারত, মলদ্বীপ, বাংলাদেশ এবং মালয়েশিয়া এই দেশ সমূহে স্বর্ণের দাম পাঁচ বছরের সর্বনিম্নে নিম্ন হয়েছে। স্বর্ণ বাজারে উৎপাদন বাডতি এবং বিপণন কমে যাওয়ার কারণে দাম কমে গেছে। আরও একটি কারণ হল প্রায় সকল দেশে স্বর্ণ দাম নিয়ামিত ভিত্তিতে বস্ত্র উৎপাদন করা হয় এবং এর জন্য স্বর্ণের প্রয়োজন থাকে। তবে এই কারণে স্বর্ণের দাম আরও কমে গেলে ব্যবসায়িক দিক থেকে উপকারপ্রদ হবে এবং দরিদ্র মানুষদের পাশাপাশি বিশেষ দিনগুলি উপভোগ করতে পারবে।
